To the Editor:
I am writing to express my strong support for the reelection of
Jane Kitchel to the Vermont Senate for Caledonia and Orange Counties.
Our local school district found itself in need of a voice in the
legislature to address a construction funding issue during Jane's
first months in the Senate. Senator Kitchel responded to our concerns,
arranged with the appropriate committees for hearings, and followed
up by seeing that the interest on a loan the district needed in
order to cover the appropriations shortfall was included in the
budget bill. Jane attends Bradford Merchants Association meetings
several times a year to keep members informed as to issues in the
legislature, and she can often be seen at Bradford events. Jane
has been responsive, caring and helpful to our community as our
state senator. I will be voting for Jane Kitchel on November 7.
